Product
Spike is the world's first laser accurate Smartphone measurement accessory - developed by survey technology veterans, ikeGPS. The Spike hardware attaches to the back of a smartphone case and adds a higher accelerometer, gyro, and a laser. It allows a user to take measurements of walls at any angle. Surveyors use it to document the size of a home or office. Contractors use it to calculate how much paint to buy for a wall or size of billboards. |
UX
I joined their office, in Wellington, New Zealand, to direct their UX initiatives. I introduced the company to design thinking, UX process, and user research methods. I created a flow for onboarding, wireframes, UI styles, and prototypes. I conducted user testing sessions in the field and presented back to stakeholders. I presented and collaborated with stakeholders, developers, electrical engineers, and qa and I mentored our new visual designer.
